They could do a lot of things, pushing clean energy into mainstream usage, acting in favor of green solutions and helping fund associations that already do something.
But being sensible is harder than I think it is: “Secretary Chu announced $151 million in funding for 37 breakthrough energy projects in technologies […].” Yes, instead of acting, they’ve decided to “support high-risk, high-reward research into innovative energy technologies”.
I believe this translates to: “We’ll spend millions on futile projects, instead of funding an actual climate change.”
